Greene Limestone Co., is an aggregate division of
Allied Construction Co., Inc. of Charles City, Iowa,
and was founded in 1946.  Greene Limestone began with a limestone quarry near Greene, Iowa.  This quarry was opened primarily to make agricultural lime.  Eventually, road stone was the primary product of the company along with road paving materials.  Today, Greene Limestone Operates two portable crushing plants in about 20 quarries to serve Butler, Floyd, Chickasaw, and Grundy Counties.  We also have a material washing operation and a sand processing plant along with a dredge if needed.   We employ approximately 35 people.
